AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 (FSR 4) is the latest generation of AMD’s advanced upscaling and frame generation technology for games, designed to enhance performance without significantly compromising image quality. Leveraging sophisticated image reconstruction algorithms and intelligent use of motion and edge data, FSR 4 enables games to be rendered at a lower resolution and then upscaled to the display’s native resolution while maintaining sharp, detailed visuals.

Unlike its predecessor, FSR 3, which was compatible with nearly any modern graphics card, FSR 4 is exclusive to AMD Radeon RX 9000 series GPUs. Comparable technologies from competitors include NVIDIA DLSS 4 and Intel XeSS 2 (as well as XeSS 3 – all games that support XeSS 2 will also support XeSS 3). IMPORTANT: The latest update to the Adrenaline graphics card drivers to version 25.9.1 (or higher) enables FSR 4 support in most games that support FSR 3.1.
