Dragon Ball fans have reasons to be happy. Not only did they receive the new animated series Dragon Ball Daima, but also the excellent video game Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO.

However, this is not the only game in which we can play the characters from this anime and fight in local multiplayer mode with friends. Although we obviously remember such old hits as Budokai, in this list we will focus on newer productions. Remember that this list only includes games that enable competition between real players on one PC (two gamepads highly required) or console in local multiplayer mode.

Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO

The latest installment of Dragon Ball was very well received, although the local combat mode between players was the weakest element of the game at the beginning.

The local PvP mode is very interesting because it works in split-screen mode, but initially it provided only one arena for such battles, namely the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. This decision was most likely dictated by the limited power of consoles such as the Xbox Series S, as this location put little strain on the graphics card, despite the need to generate two screens at once.

PC players had to use mods to gain access to other arenas, but fortunately after some time the manufacturer fixed this oversight with a patch. From now on, you can fight together on different levels, although access to absolutely all arenas is still only possible using mods on PC.

Jump Force

Well, actually Jump Force is not a game from the Dragon Ball universe, at least not exclusively. There are also characters from Naruto and One Piece (and others).

Still, Dragon Ball fans will have a great time playing this title, although the number of Z fighters available isn’t overwhelming. Just like Sparking! ZERO is a 3D fighting game, but we fight classically on a shared screen, not a split one.

The game still looks very good, and the fights using well-known fighting techniques are extremely spectacular.

Dragon Ball Fighter Z

You don’t need the third dimension for anything and you think that the best fighting games are 2D? This is perfect, because Dragon Ball Fighter Z is a 2D fighting game that offers a huge number of fighters and lots of great fun.

The game’s advantage is that it has a low entry threshold, so even beginners can enjoy it, although of course, to become a perfect Z fighter, you’ll have to spend many hours perfecting your skills.

Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2

The second part of XenoVerse does not focus solely on fights, but there is a module specially designed for players who love offline duels. This option also existed in the first part, so it’s worth checking out, but XenoVerse 2 looks much better and offers much more warriors and other content.

The game has very positive reviews on Steam and can provide dozens of hours of fun, not only in local but also online multiplayer mode.
